im soo frustrated, and this is so easy. im not stupid when it comes to stuff like this either.
^^ I am having the same problem, the tip is burning the inside back section of my bumper and I cant seem to get the angle right to get the tip to not burn. This morning on the way to work the clamp mount for the muffler fell off, because I have it not very tight, but it rattles to hell at 3k rpm all the time with it tighter.

I need some help with this problem too, i got the o2 sensor off no prob and a mechanical o2 fix, the dp dosent hit the diff but it does hit a cross member stiffener sometimes and the rattle and burning problem must be fixed soon.

The exhaust might be for an 03-04 evo. Is it making contact on the left back side? of the cut-out?

Just put the xs power TBE on my 03 VIII yesterday, took about 2 hours start to finish with just me on ramps and stands in the driveway. Fit perfect, hangs just a little low in the back but the muffler is centered fine and it does not rattle on anything. Sounds real good, needs a tune tho now, I hit fuel cut for the first time.

I haven't put it on a dyno, but my buddy has the same car with almost all the same mods...only difference is he has a LICP and Buscher Intake, and he dyno'd 340 at the wheels, so I guess I'm a little behind that mark.

Yes, on the side closest to the middle on the cut out, but only near the very back of the bumper which isnt really visible until you take a good look at the exhaust.

Anyone in the bay area that has this exhaust and might be able to take a look at my exhaust to see where it is not fitting correctly and such?

I want it to fit perfect so bad.

anybody know how to fix the rattle problem? I read the list of pages and found out its the heatshield that is making rattle noise. I went down and bent the heatshield just by hand(not much) now noise is little less than before.
I'll need to work on it this weekend.
Also how deep do you have to bang on downpipe to fit? I installed few months ago and took it out because it was rubbing and I'm thinking about putting back in.

Loved the exhaust while it lasted, muffler rattles inside now, I guess it didn't like the new GSC s1 cams. Picked up a used Vishnu Sig exhaust, which weighs like 3 pounds more.

dont bang the dp, bend the hangers that the dp attach to and your problem is fixed.

i installed mine about a week and a half ago and it wasnt hard to install , i have a IX and a small indentation on the DP and i have perfect clearance and its not hitting anything , only problem it sits slightly to the right no my corner of the bumper is a little black from the fumes but isnt burning anything , im gonna work on moving it to the right a little , i didnt get the rattling noise in my car. the anti fouler o2 fix worked like a charm and its been about 500 miles with no CEL i immediately felt the difference and at WOT it sounds wonderful , whole install process took about 40 min , serioulsly the hardest part of this whole procedure was unpacking everything , could they have made the cardboard around the tip any more difficult to get off .. all and all im very satisfied with the purchase.

no doubt, that took me like a 1/2 hour almost Anyways, I put mine on this last Saturday and WOW, I LOVE THIS EXHAUST. Sounds beautiful, the fit was perfect and it looks great IMO. The only bad part was I did not get any hardware (bolts, gaskets) with mine, but that didn't cost much to pick up some locally. I couldn't be more satisfied with the purcahse. Plus the butt dyno has been satisfied. I even get boost spikes to 22 psi now and then, woo

Yeah, when I got my package I didn't see any hardware either. But I also didn't turn the box completely upside down for i didn't want to be picking up shipping corn for an hour, lol. I took the exhaust out & felt around for a while & didn't find a hardware kit so I threw the box away, later thinking it may have been planted way down in the bottom. But after reading your post I believe mine may not have been shipped either. I contacted XS power and told them about my dilemma just to test if their customer service had improved. They claimed to have notified their shipping dept. & would let me know when a new hardware kit would be shipped out. Waited a few days with no response so I contaced them again, and got the same answer. Waited another 3 days without any response from shipping so I contacted them again stating "I have yet to receive my hardware kit nor info from your shipping dept. I'm waiting on these to install my exhaust. Should it really take more than a week to ship a few extra bolts & gaskets??" and their response was "I notified our shipping dept like I told you already and your shipping list shows that you were sent a hardware kit. We don't have "extra bolts & gaskets to ship"." Yeah, like I'm totally lying to score some free super high quality bolts & gaskets, lol. Yup customer service is still S***TTY! 1st they claim to be looking it over and would ship a new set out, then later changed it to simply NO, we don't have any? total BS as a parts company. Wasn't a big deal to me because my local muffler shop had some bolts & gaskets, but I just wanted to see if it was true what I hear about ther customer service...so YES, it still sucks. It's still a great TBE for the money, but be prepared to get your own hardware kit if you don't receive one because they sure as hell won't send you out one

Agreed, I didn't even mess with asking them for a kit, just went to a local store and got it myself. Oh well, can't complain, for the money it's the best exhaust around
