Normal Compression Per Cylinder???

Hey guys....had some engine issues with my car and got back the results from the compression test.

The results are: Cyliner 1=135psi Cyliner 2=90psi Cyliner 3=180 Cyliner 4=180.

I dont know if 180 is the normal number per cylinder??

My mods are 264hks cams, fuel pump255 walbro, Dyno Tune, 23PSI on Manuel boost controller on pump, Inlet pipe...Full exhaust.

Guys I have 36,026 miles on the car and have had these mods on the car since 1,000 miles on the car many passes at the track about 90 passes always do my maitanence on time. Do you have any idea why this could have happened? If I have to replace my rings, valves, etc what do you recomend as well...

I put down 347awhp and 351awtq and drive a 2003 evo 8

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated

I'm sorry to say this, but I have a feeling your pistons have broken. Be sure that the timing is on, and if it is pull the cylinder head off.

My friends evo, and this has not been the only case, had the same symptoms as yours, and the number 3 piston had a 2x1 inch chunk broken off of it. Did the plugs look ok, they were not smashed?

Check these items out and get back to us.

We checked the timing belt that looked ok...We have not taken the head off yet to check. I checked two plugs and they looked ok....I think it might be the ring or even a piston like you suggested....****tyyyy so 168psi is normal per cylinder? So 180 for two of them is real good.....I will get back to you guys as soon as I know exactly what is wrong. Is this becomming a common problem with the evo's guys? I heard that most evo's over 350awhp have started to do this...but I think that is crazy to think...anyways.
Thanks!

If you have chunk of piston broken off, pull the plug and look into the cylinder. You probably will see the metal in there. Your plug will also show some signs of damage. If it was a head gasket I would expect to see coolant in the oil. Did the car smoke before this happened/while it attempts to run? Also, stop trying to start it. If you do have a broken piston/piston ring it may be scarring up the cylinder walls.

Sounds like you already took it to a shop though....

Man it could be as simply as a Head gasket leak and as complex as a complete engine rebuild.
