Anyone have the Defi Blue Racer Boost Gauge?
Anyone have the Defi Blue Racer Boost Gauge?
i was wondering if this gauge is accurate? i have an autometer carbon fiber gauge and its off by 2-4psi. i am looking for a gauge that is accurate. please post your findings. thanks!
Have not used the Blue gauge, I'm using defi's D gauge. I see posts of people complaining about Defi’s accuracy although not sure what others use to test calibration accuracy. I tested mine with a FLUKE 725 that has NIST certification. The same instrument that I calibrate medical manufacturing equipment with. I found an error of 0.5 psi on +side and 0 psi or HG if you prefer on vacuum side.
Defi makes good quality gauges.
The boost gauge for the blue racer will be different then the d series. The blue racer uses a sender underneath the hood to send the signal to the boost gauge. Just like the BF series I had a buddie test a BF and i forget what the margin of error was but it was very minor.
