What events led up to the demise of his engine? Well, we were "cruising", i was the guy "cruising" with him. We had couple pulls btw i drive an SRT-4, and guess his car jsut crapped out. guess he couldnt hang wit the "neon" haha no flaming intended, hope you get your car worked out dude.

rofl, even with my blown engine the "neon" still couldnt pull on me aaaaaanyway,

^haha i wont even talk about wut happned on the roll but in the end you car sits in my garage and mine just chillin

hahaha true true... anyway, im supposed to be pickin up the car either tonight or tomorrow, they were throwing the engine and tranny and everything back in yesterday. hopefully that baby'll purr like it did when i first got her wishful thinkin!

eh.... series of miscommunications. car is getting a couple more things done to it b4 it's completely stock. ETA is now early next week sometime. hopefully everything will be running perfect. i'll keep you guys updated once i get the car.

just because a crankshaft is fitted with an oversized bearing (undersized rod throw) doesnt mean it isnt going to last. If mitsu sells oversized bearings, why in the world would they advise against you using them in the FSM?? Because they want you to buy a brand new 700 bean crank thats why. If the throws were undersized, and the bearings are oversized correspondingly, then there is no reason for premature failure.

Last I knew, Mitsubushi does not sell oversize bearings for turbo cranks. Has that changed?
