Buschur himself told me not to bother with the HKS DLI because how of it's unreliability. Im glad I didnt get an ignition box. 30psi with methanol, plugs I gapped down to .023 and no misfires what so ever. Ive had some 33psi+ spikes too!

I am yes, other than NGK BR8ES plugs. I bought a new set of OE plug wires since when my Green went on I was at 67,000 miles already.

Don't know if this would make a difference, but on my Sun Hyperforce there is a fuse between the unit and the positive terminal on the battery. I've heard the HKS DLI does not have a fuse, so there is no protection in case something wonky happens with the electrical system.

Would it be possible to wire in a fuse? If so what amp would a person go with?

I've been wanting to get an ignition amplifier for quite some time. I've heard too many comments about the HKS DLI II being unreliable. That's ashame. This reminds me of the MSD 6 multi spark amplifiers that I ran on my V-8's. They would last about a year or so and then just die! After going through several units I decided to mount the MSD 6 box inside the passenger compartment away from the heat and moisture. That seemed to have done the trick, I still have the same MSD box operating for more than 7 years now.

So what I have gathered here is that keeping the HKS box from extreme heat, getting a good ground and mounting on a soft pad of some sort and your good?

To anyone that has had your HKS box for a while 1+ year's. How are you mounted

I'm really interested in that test! Thanks and let us know your results ASAP. I've been looking at those for a while. It will be pretty Bad-A$$ if they are equal to or better than a COP set up.
