I could argue with you guys all day. The good kit Buschur makes is with the Tubular manifold. The one that bolts to the stock manifold is not worth it IMO. I have put a AMS kit on an evo and it was harder to install than my SBR 35r kit. Plus their customer service sucks. My friend bought the kit used and needed some small parts like a flange and the upper radiator heat shield and they would not sell it to him. Plus they were pretty rude to him.

The only problem I have with my SBR kit is it is maxed out at about 534awhp. The manifold and 63ar hot side just doesn't flow enough. Everything fit perfect on my kit. I don't see how anyone had a problem with fitment. I really like how close to the block it keeps the turbo and away from the radiator. My friends AMS kit keeps rubbing a hole in the heat shield on his upper radiator hose.

Full-race is one of the best kits IMO. Their customer service it way better than AMS or Buschurs. If you want a small part from them call them and you can talk with Geoff even. I could never talk with Martin at AMS and that is why I didn't go to them to get my car tuned. The Full-Race kit does take some extra time to install but it is worth it. Even David Buschur said it was one of the best kits he ever tuned.

To the thread starter, I would say get the SBR kit if that is what you can afford, but get the 35r kit with the 83ar hot side. It will only spool a few hundred RPM slower than a 30r kit but the extra power is worth it. I love my 35r. I don't see how people say it is too laggy. The only time I have a lag problem it in 5th gear cruising and I need to go from 60 to 70. It really shows lag then. But all in all I am really happy with my SBR 35r kit. I just wish I had bought the 83ar.

Considering everyone who has done a Full-Race Evo setup complains about fitment; I would reconsider your opinion.

Did you not read the post above? David's car ran 9's with the cast manifold

I would stay clear from SBR. AMS or Buschur is the only way to go...

For your sake.....you'ld have to be crazy, too many guys have been dissapointed with the SlowBoy Kit its a joke.......

Save the extra money and buy a proven setup, SBR Kits are proven to be a big disspointment if thats what you want.

If there Kits were the best on the market you could happily deal with the **** customer service you get, but the fact that the results are very very poor makes the service stink even more...........(speaking from experience)

By the time you get all the parts, or fixed up the parts which don't line up etc......you could have saved up the extra to go with a Kit from AMS/Buschur etc.
The kit on my own car installed in less than three hours.

My car had 350 miles on it and went 11.53 @ 119 MPH at 24 PSI on the GT30R with stock motor and clutch.

The kit performs well, and with Hafe's new cast intake pipe that we include with the kit, fitment is simple.

I would say our kit is now one of the easiest kits to install bar none!

GT30R the wrong choice?

Are you kidding me?

A 430 WHP turbo on pump has that sees 24 PSi at just a tick over 4k on the dyno the wrong choice?

FMIC bolt hole dont line up. My IC piping was off. It tooke forever to get the kit (over 2 months) when they said it was in stock.

Oh and did i mention the "fantastic" welding jobs that left me with boost leaks
Huh,

Did you ever email me with the "fantastic" weld problems?

If you have never picked up a wrench before, I agree you should have us install the kit for you!

You can call in and purchase the .82 a/r housing. I can sell you this at cost plus 5% since you already have the kit!

If you buy the turbo kit from us, and you bring the car here I will install the kit for free.

It is that simple to install, I just ask you pay for the dyno time to have it properly tuned.

I had NON of the same issues you had. and sbr doesnt make the kit they sell dude. they piece it together from other well know companys and sell it back to the public. the same 30 or 35r turbo that rnr, bucshur, ams and everyone else use is what sbr uses. you need to do more research before you spat off. i made 444 awhp at 26-27 on a PUMP GAS FLASH! ya, what a joke 444 whp is.

I belive that the kit is easy to install. No if ands or buts. Things have done on Greddy, HKS, Youd be surprised that not all are that simple to install... even though they have that huge name brand. Same with AMS. Nothing is that simple. When you mix and match parts Like most people do. You are going to run into some problems. When is this a Shock! ?

This is why i think SBR is going beyond Customer Service, For Mike to offer a Free Install that he should easily charge for. I Think thats a statement all in its own. Something to ponder on. Well see the GT35r kit when I hit the dyno.

Buschur was playing with the 4G63 probably before the guy from Full-Race was old enough to wipe his own ***

i've dealt with SBR for my current motor project and all emails/calls were answered. Never once was I blown off. If I left a message...I got a call back. Mike has saved me thousands on my parts. Its too bad everyone on these boards is unwilling to try anyone other than Buschur and AMS. I have parts from both of those companies as well. But my vendor of choice is SBR because they take the time to deal with me. Not just take your money and hang up the phone on you.

SBR is more for the DIYselfer. Some guys shouldnt touch a wrench and those are the ones that hae problems with their installs. They dont know how to improvise, adapt, and overcome. If you work on cars...you need to know how to do just that, especially if its outta your own garage.
