Haha, true!!. I have 18k on mine and its still going strong. I dont beat the crap out of my car though. I will have to say even if you beat your car its whatever the fact still remains that they put the wrong fluid in the tc. If you have to bring up the legality of them putting the wrong gear oil in the car. If you need to get a mitsu tech to give you all of the information abotu the gear oils for the transfer case so that they will better understand that they effed up. or just take it in to mitsu and get a new one under warranty.

post this in the south regional forums. Shiv is coming to town for a 2 day dyno day at engine logics next weekend (Oct. 14). That should offer some leverage, or at least a few questions to the owner when all those evos are there, "why'd you screw up a car with only 3,500 miles on it by putting in the wrong fluid in the TC?"

Chris is usually a stand up guy. Did you talk to him or just the hired help?

they f*cked up and now owe you a brand new transfer case. Call better business burea, consumer protection agency, and tell them you are contacting a lawyer. Get evrything in writing as to what they put in your car and what was done @ this shop. They didn't notice the sticker on the diff and transfer case thats says special mitsu oil only. WHat a bunch of retards. Thats why I do my fluid changes myself.

Get them to admit in writing that they put synchromesh in your transfer case. Then, show a qualified mitsu technician the paper, and have him write a testimony of what would happen if they used synchromesh in the transfer case (catastrophic failure) and show them the mitsu technicians paper. If they do not pay for a new transfer case, take both of those documents to a small claims court and collect your money. Done deal.

I don't think you're suppose to put the BG Synchroshift into the TC....... that's for tranny. TC should use the stock Mitsu LSD Gear Oil.... got mine from my dealer for $45 for a 4qts container (at least they told me it's 4qts). Doing my clutch in the coming week hopefully. Changing all the diff fluids with the LSD oil and BG for tranny.

That Synchromesh is way too thin for the TC gears. And if they messed that simple thing up... I'd check to make sure the ACD is working properly too. Take it to court man...... I'm sure it wasn't a free labor deal, so they were paid to do something, properly.

that's what i meant...sorry ...couldn't remember which it was...i purchased both after the fact... My local dealer wouldn't sell me Diaqueen, had to get it online...still have some left...didn't stop the song my TC sings lol...wishful thinking

Did the clutch myself...so i can't blame a shop for not using Diaqueen

Ouch... that sucks to hear the problem still exists, but at least now it isn't getting worse. I'm doing my own clutch because I just really hate other people touching my stuff. I don't want to think about whether they lost a bolt, or if they forgot a step, or if the even used the proper fluids at even the right amounts. I install everything myself that way, if something goes wrong, I know exactly who to blaim!

Man - that really sucks. I would really go take it up with the shop that installed your clutch. If they refuse to help you - be firm and tell them they will hear from your lawyers. Good Luck
