help!? what gaskets are needed when putting in a new engine?

i am looking for the gasket kit needed when installing a new engine. i can look up the part numbers myself i just need the name of the gastkets needed when putting in a shortblock.

o bolson jbweld will work just as good? i miss - read and thought it said "same" not some...?

hahaha JB WELD FOR GASKETS? You gotta be kidding me. JB weld aint gonna cut it for half the gaskets bro.

If you want to do it right you need to buy a "engine gasket kit." Yep thats all you tell the parts man. And the kit will come with every single gasket you need. I do however, recommend you using some rtv to help properly seal the gasket. Make sure you get the high temp stuff.

all the major vendors sell engine gasket kits. just call one of them and order the complete set.

JBweld......thats so wrong

Customer:
"I cant get my oil pan off...."
Dealer:
"what did you put on it?"
Customer:
"JB Weld...."

kids, do you know why heads leak coolant? Why pans leak oil? Why IC pipes lose power? It's cause they leak. Get smart. Seal that isht up for good and start pushing some #.

the scary part is some body will come along and actually try using it.


App420, are you dropping in another motor or are you rebuilding one? depending on what exactly you're doing you might not need an entire gasket kit and save yourself some $$$$
