Which ECU???

Which ECU do you guys think is best. I am looking at UniChip, Haltech, Autronics and Links at the moment. At the moment I have a 4G93 with a TD04, boost to 13psi, K&N panel filter and 3" full exhaust and VR4 front mount IC. I will up the turbo to TD05H or somethign like that maybe next year. I do want one that has all the sensors and boost controller, maybe in the future the ability to fit a dash output screen in like the Motec or Apexi ones. It should ideally has launch control ability, self learn or limp home features.

Keeping in mind that Motec is probably too expensive and that I am in Australia, so GEM or RallyArt is out of the question. The ones I have mentioned I can find people to tune with.

Thanks!!
Anthony.

madman, do you own a GSR? (4G93 turbo engine)

With that in mind, I don't think there are a whole lot of members on this board have extensive knowledge on this car...since most members own either the basic model Lancer/EVO (for those lucky bastards)

You might be able to find more info in the yahoo GSR/EVO email group. It's mostly Aussie's/NZ's GSR/EVO owners. They should be able to point you to the right direction.

However, that site is currently down Hopefully, should be back up soon.

cheer and enjoy your staying here

Madman,

Can't say much about the rest but I rode in this TME with the Autronics ECU. The launch control and anti-lag features are amazing. Completely different and faster than my car. Really noisy though.

If you're looking for value for money, get the Link. It has all basic functions and I think there are models or options to have almost everything the racing ECUs have, if not everything.

Hello.

I think it has come down to Haltech and Autronics. I have decided to upgrade the handling first with some strut brace front, rear sway bar, Koni shockers (already have lowered king springs), air filter, sparks and leads, up the boost to 15psi with the aid of using aviation gas. In the performance department I will only add an adjustable cam gears to increase power.

It's next year that I will dump the horsepower in.

What do you guys think?!?! Anything else I should look at while I am setting my car up for the big horsepower increase next year???
