a need 4 forge dv?

I got the forge dv but see no need for it. I am running 19-20 psi (MBC)with cat back (evo2)and hks filter. Would you install the DV or just hang on till i get more mods ????

Stock dv holds up 20 so i see no reason why to upgrade. It might even slow my car down , could it (with out a tune) ????

You should hold on to it til you boost more than that.

Chuck the POS plastic stocker and put in your forge. The stock plastic DV has been proven to start leaking at around 13psi. You won't notice it on your boost gauge, but it still happens.

In my experience with the stock JDM DV, it actually starts to lift and bypass intake charge air at about 11-12#. Eventhough it may "hold" max pressure to beyond 20#, it is already bleeding, i.e. the valve is lifting off its seat way before 20#, although it isn't audible.

This premature lifting slows turbo spool way down. If it was me, I would go ahead and install the Forge RS and crank it down to where it just starts to flutter, then back it off a skosh. You should be rewarded with improved turbo spool and transient response.

TTP offers a 3" DP/resonated DP combo for 235 shipped. I have one but not installed yet. From the reviews the fitment is right on. Just fyi.

Like everyone else said, put the forge on!

Yup ! I was just planning on doing that (end of year). They even have the manifold for 200$. I plan on having them install the manifold too must work from what I hear.
