A real T88 or the Greddy T88? A real T88 is a HUGE turbo, 125 lbs/min for the T88 compared to 96 lbs/min for a GT42R. I don't think it's practical on a 2.0 or a 2.0 based stroker.

There are many people running strokers on this site. I suggest searching or just browsing as there is always a current active post involving 2.3 strokers.

In that case yes, there's a guy named Hector that had one on his DSM. It was in the low 9's if I remember correctly.

The reason you don't see a lot of them is because they aren't a very efficient turbo. As somebody already stated most people go with GT turbo's because they have relatively new wheels and CHRA technology, they are more efficient than the old T-series and Mitsubishi based turbo's.

No one uses that turbo on an EVO. Its just too big. I mean, its laggy on a 3.0L 6 cylinder Supra. Shep runs 7.70s and uses a GT42R. The GT turbos are superior and the biggest thats really doable on the 2.0 is the 42R. One person has a 2.3 with GT45R but even that is too big. It spools well over 5000rpm and since the car is stroked, it cant rev out like 2.0, making for a lackluster powerband.

There was a video of the dyno. It was awful. As soon as boost hit there was litterally a seocond of pull then it was over. Probably just awful to drive.

Worlds worst powerband: Nice 1000rpm if that of power. 42R is even overkill. unless your all out drag lie the AMS Buschur 8 second cars.
