tranny and tc removal

Ive searched but i couldnt find a deffinite how to for removing the tranny and tc. I want to see how hard it is and if i will be able to do it on my own soo i can ship it to shep or tre but if its that difficult i think i would just take it to turbotrix and have them do thier tranny services.

btw is anybody have experience with the turbotrix tranny rebuilds...how do they compare with shep or tre.

also how long does the process usually take from shep, tre, or turbotrix.

just follow the evomoto guide for the clutch job. It will accomplish the same thing. once you get the tranny out, the t-case comes out fairly easily since it is not connected to the tranny anymore (obviously)

If you are unsure, dont have all the correct tools/large selection, and a second person. Dont attempt it. It can take upwards of 8-10 hours depending on your level of experience.

try changing the fluid first to BG syncroshift or Penzoil syncromesh to see if that helps the issue. this is the less expensive route first. then i would try the dealer. what mods do you have??

if you drop off your trans we can usually have it build within 1 week.. maybe sooner as long as we have everything for the trans ordered in advance. If its blown up, and you only want to replace whatever is broken, that usually adds a couple extra days until we get the parts you need in.

im running synnchromesh and its still doing.....the shifter itself is soo notchy....its way more notchy then any other evo ive driven. It still drives fine but i would rather have the peace of mind of a built tranny and again these symptoms have been since day 1 and they keep saying its how evos are and they refuse to fix it at the dealer....mods are o2housing,tbe,licp,flash,ssclutch line with no restrictor, and fmic. all the parts are easily taken off except the clutchline the fmic and the o2 housing but they wouldnt even fix it when it was stock.

noo...from a stop with clutch all the way down and i go to put it in first it grinds....then i put it in neutral and put it back in 1st and it is fine. 1st gear grind is not as common as the 3rd and 4th and 5th gear grinds.
