Cam Question

I have a stock 8 and I wanna add some oomph to it. I don't wanna get the Stage 1 packages right now for warranty and police reasons (cops in here are too much)

So anyways, I was thinking of getting some cams. Would be a set of 280/280 be too much for a stock turbo and stock valvetrain? Or do I have to upgrade it to handle the cams? Oh yea, im getting it tuned too once I get the cams installed. (Planning to go to Tuning Technologies even if it's gonna be a long drive)

If 280/280 is too much for the street/strip, then what cam setup should I go for?

By the way, the evo is not a daily driver (more like a weekend warrior)

Search? Hmmm, doesnt work for me. Just don't post at all if you just gonna flame me and not gonna help.

Im gonna do some bolt-ons and/or upgrades too somewhere down the line. But for now, I wanna try keep stock (maybe not till my warranty expires)

But ya, man, thanx.

Ill think about the 272/272 setup.

UH with 280's the dealer is going to know something is up. hks / bc / crower / gsc 264's are about your only choice if you want to keep anysort of warranty.

+1

If you change your shift knob they will blame that for your engine blowing up.
