Alright, heres today's story.

I start out the day with a cup of coffee and ramen noodles.I hit the driveway to work on my baby. Take out my front bumper and voila.... the IC pipe.. like everyone had said, its disconnected. I lay down there on the floor with dry leaves around me to absorb this feeling... the feeling of how much of a dumb *** i am. For the last two days i ran around to fix something that is.. well.. not the problem.

Well after connecting back the pipe i wonder if its gonna happen again, because i like to drive hard and i drive hard all the time. So i think imm gonna get some bracers that are like 5 inches width to hold that. The pipe is only like 1 inch into the other pipe, and the brace is like 2 inches, i don't like how that holds on at all.

Now i go to repair the leak from the new SARD regulator, i thought to myself, well the stock regulator should be good, so i try to put it back. But i then realize that the wire/hoses/line system that i put is meant for the new one.. so i decided to use the new one since it cost me $175 dollars, and im planning to get a walboro. I try to solder the nipples together with the regulator piece.... only to find out that went the solder dried, it would just fall off and just became another piece of useless metal. After trying like half a roll of solder, it just wouldnt stick.

Ok, so i connect all fuel hoses and zip tie everything, turn on car, YESSSSSSSSSSS CAR IS ON, ITS WORKING!!!!. I press the little switch in the engine bay to make the car rev... and it DOES!!!! YESSS. But another thing also happens, something, somewhere, starts squirting fuel like the way someone sprays water out of there mouth when they are hype up and about to kick someones ***.

Great, another leak? I turn car off, then try the same thing again, this time no leaks???? hmm.... So i stand there and use my auto start from my viper, and ah hah, i see it. When i start my engine, theres a HUGE spray of fuel coming out somewhere on the upper side of engine bay, beneath the strut bar. This not good. My low fuel light comes on and i figure, in order for me to keep troubleshooting, imma lose lots of fuel, so i hop in the car and run to mobil.

After pumping 5 bucks i head back to my driveway, and ah hah. The car does the sameeee thing like the very beginning, im thinking this is REALLYYY getting old. Can it possibly be a blown off IC pipe? As much as i wanted it to be, its not. I lay down on the floor.... again feeling how much of a dumb *** i am again. The pipe is tight and fitted very comfortable where its suppose to be. Oh boy. And theres a huge big fuel puddle beneath the car too.

I submit, i spended 2+ days to fix this, losing work time, money, my health is deteriorating because of 1 meal per day, this ain't gonna work. I call a tow to get my *** to shop called Initial D in brooklyn.

Besides i need a new clutch any way.... =]

You, my friend, should NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER work on your own car again.

Put in the hours you wasted on this towards learning basic automotive principles and fundamentals of operation. I recommend www.howstuffworks.com

Then after you have a basic understanding of how internal combustion and turbocharging works start off with basic maintenance to familiarize yourself with the car. Oil change, spark plug change, tranny fluid change. Once you start getting comfortable you can move on to slightly more challenging things like BOV's, fuel pumps, et al.

Either that or leave your car bone stock, or find a reputable shop that you (and other people on this board) trust and have them do all the work for you.

Oh, and how to upgrade the intercooler clamps is located here... https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=193838

It's pretty self guiding and not a bad way to familiarize yourself with the routing of the intercooler piping on your car.

Yea, like the guy above me said, I think you should really refrain yourself from working on your car or anyone's car because I believe you might get yourself in a situation where you hurt yourself.

Imagine if the fuel became ignited somehow and you/ your car caught on fire.

If I understood correctly you tried to solder a metal nipple to the metal regulator? I guess you learned the hard way you cant solder metal pipes together. Solder is only meant for getting a good connections with wires and fittings and nothing else. You may have been able to weld it together but thats a whole different story altogether. Its good that your learning but I would definately suggest if your not absolutely sure of what you doing to either have a friend who knows what he's doing to help you or pay a shop to do it. At the end you will be saving alot of money in not having to pay a shop to repair something you broke. This is very important considering the "tight" budget you say you have.

The reason for me posting is to find some good tips, not "don't touch your car" or
"bring it to a garage".

hence my previous post. I am very clear i cannot do this job myself, thats why its at a garage now.

For everyone thats giving me some good tips

For those people that don't really help at all -

Since this seems to be your 1st performance turbo'd car defiently read up on it. While i was getting my SR20 installed i got on the boards and how stuff works etc. and read up on how turbo cars work. Also if you understand how a internal combustion engine works then you should be able to figure out how a turbo system works. Just look at your engine bay and think about how the air would flow. I swear im not trying to be a smart @$$ im just trying to help. Please if you have any questions ask. Id be more than happy to help the best i can along with most of the other memeber on this board. Keep us informed as to whats causing the fuel leak.
