does anyone have any problems with getting zapped when you touch the door ? i know it happens to all cars occasionally, but this is a constant annoyance.
it's the rubber bottom. my addidas create enough energy to microwave a burrito. but my doc's never do. just grab the outside of your door or some metal part of the car before getting out.

Doesn't matter what I'm wearing; boots, shoes, sandals, freakin' slippers, I get a huge shock everytime. It's the friction between your clothes and the Recaros. The rubber on your shoes just acts as insulation until you ground yourself to something metal. Make sure you touch something metal to discharge the buildup before removing the gas nozzle after filling up your car (if you got in the car during fill up) or you may start a fire

This may sound dumb but it helps. Wash and wax your car. Less friction between car + air makes for less static charge built up. It doesn't eliminate it, of course.
