Using an AUTOMETER COBALT tach. I just can't stand the positioning of the stock tach. seems like the steering wheel was specifically designed to block it Here's a pic of mine:

What is it with some of you guys and "You give our cars a bad name" Grow the **** up dude. It's obvious you aren't capable of reading. As mentioned in my post, the reason for installing my tach was because I can't stand the positioning of the stock tach. It's much easier to watch RPM's and keep my eyes on the road when accelerating hard with my tach installed where it is, plus I have a shift light. Believe me buddy it wasn't just for looks. Look at my mods, and go look at pics of my car and tell me it's rice! If mine is Rice I don't know what isn't. I'm not into arguing over the internet, but to be honest, your comment offended me.

ah.. I like how you tell me to "grow up". ****, I'm probably as old as you or older.

Just to let you know, your big *** tach looks very rice, just like your white face gauges. I read your reason too. I know the stock tach isnt always veiwable, but you dont even need a tach if you just listen to the motor.

Seriously, that **** was cool in like '99, but now, it just rice.

I simply have a Datatool Revlight shining on reflective material on the windshield. Kind of a ghetto heads up shift light. I can't stand big tach's either.

I really don't think you can listen to the motor and know exactly where you are in the revs. I agree a tach isn't needed for daily cruising, but if you are pushing the car you 100% NEED some reference for engine speed.

I agree. At the very least you need a shift light. I went through the big phat 5" monster tach phase with my Eclipse, I don't want one for my Evo - but I understand there are those that have that need, esepcially for a car with a higher rev limit.

I would either want a yellow/blue seperate shift light, or maybe one of those three or four LED green/yellow/red F1/WRC style shift lights.
