On another note I'm gonna be using the DEFI HUD VSD Concept....no huge tach in my face and its digital rpm guage and speedo and is in perfectly plain view.

I call BS! Show me pics!

Back to topic, I would like to know too. There are a few built engines around here that needs to rev over 9K .. heck, even 10K tach may not be enough. It would be good to know if there are alternatives. Nothing big though. Between 6-8cm would be nice I think. Integrated Shift light would be a Bonus.

A shift light is a better tool than a tach if you want to know when to shift. You'll always be reacting slightly behind a quickly sweeping tach needle and even aftermarket tachs are not guaranteed to be accurate. A shift light is really bright and easy to see.

Looks interesting. Where did you get your overlay from? Or it's a completely different cluster?
Have you taken it up to the Rev limiter? and if so, where is it now?
TIA

I like that cluster.

And also think its the answer to this whole thread. No rice, 10K on cluster... seems way better tehn and big aftermarket tach.

Also, Reine, I like that STACK cluster too, and it also is another great answer to rev high.

I don't have one of those hideous monster tachs on my dash, i'll be getting a bright shift light that I'll mount down on the floor. Those things just look horrible! Especially when I see primered civic hatches with un-painted body kits drivin around with em. I'd rather not be associated with that crowd. LOL

Stewart Warner makes this nice litte tach called a G.U.S or gauge upshift....something like that. In any event its 52mm, digital readout to 18000, programmable, and has a bright LED shift light.

I just havent mounted it yet....waiting to get my motor in the car....
