that's not the stock tach - it's an overlay, I believe the company that made it was called trustz or something. I think it's got its own power tap or something

My speedometer is red, my tach is red, my odometer is a puke blue and my cluster is stock.

as stated, those are trustz overlays. how do I know? I used to have the exact same ones. If you open your cluster you'll see that. Regarding why they flicker, could be some kind of power tap thing, IDK. I doubt the real gauges behind it are flickering.
