Maxford exhaust mani help

Well I installed my maxford exhaust manifold last night and everything was going as planned. Didnt even have to drop the radiator which I was very happy about since it was already midnight. (just got the itch to throw it in, couldnt wait for another day) I was putting all the bolts in and tightning them down and I got to the hotside studs. The front right stud is too close the the mani pipeing to get a nut on it. Should I just bend in the piping or what. It has a pretty nice leak. Sounds like I have a playing card in the spokes when I get on it. Help!!!!!!!!!

what? Is this with the manifold fully on?

I didn't have this problem with mine. Just had to have it loose and lift it a bit to get the nut started.

just get that bolt on first before the others...that way you can kinda lift the mani up above the stud to give you enough room to get the bolt on and then tighten down until there are no more clearence issues!!!

Manifold is in with no leaks. Carlos ran to the autozone and got some antiseeze and we installed it with no problems. I went to pick up heat wrap and decided to wait until later for that. Pics if wanted. Thanks for all the help

^^^ Cory,

You did a good job. I was there to assist but you got it done right. Manifold looks very nice installed, let us know how it feels.

Re-tune?

Jusa,

Just curious as to your other mods. Does the new manifold necessitate a reflash/retune?

retune is not neccessary for mani. Intake would be the only mod to need a tune.
