few questions's on the 20g lt
ok so i am probably going to get the new buschur 20g lt soon and i have a few questions on what it includes and such. i have a 2005 evo VIII so i have to purchase the install kit so that it will fit. what is in this install kit? does the install kit or turbo kit include a licp because i was going to buy one of the ams ones thats on xmas sale. also the ams licp will bolt onto the buschur turbo right? plus i am guessing that the turbo doesnt come with an o2 housing right? because i am going to buy an ebay one soon.
so basically i am asking
1. does the buschur 20g lt and installation kit come with a licp
2. if not will the ams licp work with the 20glt
3. what exactly is the pipe that is in the buschur install kit? why do evo VIII's need the install kit and evo IX's dont

This is what I got from David based on similar questions.
You dont need the kit if you just want to bend the stock lines. All you need to do is buy the adapter pipe that connect the turbo to your LICP. It is around $100 if I recall.

If I were you (and last week I was when I made the purchase for my 05 VIII MR), I would purchase the turbo + kit from Buschur. Why you ask - support of course. Bend your lines, rig your current setup and if something goes wrong, you're up a creek. For a few hundred bucks, you can have good parts, support from the Buschur crew and peace of mind.
It's rare when peace of mind can be bought for just a few hundred bucks - it's a good buy.
Whatever you choose, good luck, it's a great turbo!

AFAIK, the BR install kit used when adapting either a factory IX turbo, a 20G-9-5, and the 20G-9 LT doesn't include a new LICP.
[QUOTE] 2. if not will the ams licp work with the 20glt
As I understand it, the AMS LICP since it is articulated can be rotated to mate up with the IX compressor discharge that is used on the LT. This negates the need for purchasing the discharge tube from the install kit. This is the pipe which you refer to in question #3. It is a Mitsubishi factory part used on the Evo IX's because the IX turbo's compressor housing dimensions are larger than the VIII's.

The install kit(and these are all Mitsu factory parts, incidentally) consists mainly of the IX's reshaped oil and coolant lines and the aforementioned compressor discharge adapter tube.
A lot of the guys adapting the IX series of turbos to an VIII have found that they can slightly bend their existing oil and coolant lines to fit up to the new turbo's center section. Also, some say, and it is apparently true, that segmented nature of the AMS LICP allows it to mate up between the intercooler and the IX's compressor housing. So, by bending lines and using the AMS LICP there is no need to go out and buy an install kit.

2.) Yes.
3.) It's the compressor outlet pipe. The FPGreen/LT turbo is in a IX turbo shell, and the IX turbo uses a different outlet pipe than an IX (as well as different oil/coolant lines).
Save yourself a headache and do it right the first time. You don't have to buy the "Buschur" install kit. The parts can be purchased directly from Mitsubishi...at a lower cost. Mitsubishiparts.net will sell them to you at a fair price.
Here are all the parts you need to put a IX turbo on your VIII.

ok but if i have the ams licp then i dont have to get the pipe that comes with the install kit because the ams licp works with the evo ix turbo as well right?
honestly i wouldn't bend the stock oil lines. I still have the stock turbo and never did anything to the turbo but one day it just cracked. It blew oil all over the engine bay. I'd be affraid that by bending it you will be making the metal weaker and causing it to crack like my stock line.
