K&N Typhoon Intake Short Ram

Does anyone know if this will work on a IX? Also anyone running this intake, what mods and numbers? Any suggestions on what intake to go with for my first rounds of mods along with TBE/FLASH/ALKY

Do not put a typhoon on your car. thats probobly the worst mod for an evo.
I am doing my own little test to see if I will use the stock box or an intake. I just dynoed my car with an intake and I have maps for the stock box. So next I will dyno the car with the stock box and see whats what. I know plenty of vendors have done this test but I want to do also to see what happens

Toyz, there are about 500 threads talking about the Typhoon, and 499 of them say to steer clear of it. It's the worst design and doesn't work on the Evo's MAF system. As for Kreionic's testing, there's been tons of testing with and without intakes. The fastest stock intake Evo puts down 582whp, so there's not much need in using money there. It makes a lot of noise and sucks in hot engine air, but it's fine to get one if you want. My suggestion for those who must have one is to just get a Buschur filter for $80 and leave the MAF pipe stock.

Ahhh Clayton... there you are! Thank you for the input. Buschur filter it will be. I had a typhoon on my STi, and it was a bad design due to how the air was tunneled through the MAF sensor. So I wanted to see peoples input for the EVO. Thanks again.
