new intake = voided warranty??

hey does anyone know if modding your lancer, like the exhaust and intake voids the warranty for the car?

Someone's gonna soon tell you to search. Then a mod will move this to the newbie forum. Searching for warranty would have returned a 1000 or so No's. Warranties cannot be voided, by law. Car makers don't have to warranty anything that breaks because of aftermarket modifications, but so long as you're not trying to make a warranty claim on your stock intake and you don't destroy your MAS while installing or something otherwise silly, they cannot deny warranty claims.

based on legality issues, they MUST honor your warranty unless the cause of the problem is the part you put in your car.
