Differential fluid

i did search but couldn't find answers. does differential fluid fluctuate? because i checked out all the fluid today, differential fluid is at min/low. i only have 2900miles on the car, i couldn't find any leaks. only thing i can i think thats different is that my injen intake filter is leaned on the differential fluid container, and intake vibrates all the time. could that be the problem?

I think it´s the ACD fluid, uses ATF SP II, maybe you should check level when fluid is hot, then if it´s low....top off to upper level.

My ACD fluid fluctuates quite a bit. I thought it was temperature related, but I've seen it vastly different while warm and cold. I have no idea what the deal is. =D

My current theory is that it's very sensitive to being level, causing it to read differently based on where you are parked.

Use OEM fluid. Get it from Local Mitsu dealer. Also you can look it up in the manual.

It's called Diamond SP III ATF fluid, and it's only for the ACD. It does not get consumed, and the Mitsu dealer should have plenty of it in 1qt containers.

You replace the fluid when doing the trans/clutch if the person doing the work doesn't know how to remove the trans without disconnecting the ACD line. It doesn't need fluid added. If fluid needs to be added, then there is a big problem, or it was never filled.

It will be close to min after driving and the car is warm. It should be at full or a little above after it's been sitting around or cold.

I believe it states that in the owners manual.
