Head noise need help

So at about 3000rpm and up i have a loud tapping noise from the head.
1) i put new lifters in today and it went away for a bit and came back
2) the old lifters had worn the ball part and metal shavings had gotten traped in the little oil hole all the lifters were the same wear.
so we cleaned them all out and installed the new lifters from JAM
3) put 20/50 wt oil just to see if that would help but no luck
4) the noise gets louder as the car runs longer and is rpm dependant ( 3k and up to 5k)
ive been working with my mechanic and jackson machine to try to figure out the problem but to no luck
next step is a leak down test to see if there is a bent valve but whats weird the car idles perfect and make lots of power.
any help would be awesome

Hows the oil pressure?...20/50 W would make it worse. Change that stuff out. 10/30 I would say you have a oil gallie plugged up and it's not letting the lifter...lifters, pump up. Metal shavings are from shearing. Something isnt getting lubricated.
Recent cam shaft install? Is this after any work has been done under the valve cover recently?

sounds to me like an oil related problem.
