Slowboy question?

Does anyone know off hand if they can produce a turbo kit with the Hafe manifold and o2 housing using a dbb 50trim turbo? I think that is what I would be interested in. Thanks,

Because in the end he's probably not really serious about doing anything. He would much rather just start a 25 page debate on it here, which will turn into a debate about wether or not SBR sucks at life, but perhaps with a little luck there will be a simple yes or no answer in the mix somewhere, which will most likely be wrong anyway, and then he'll change his mind and just do a boost controller and try some 93 octane on for size and thank everyone for their opinions.

Sorry, no offense intended, I was just feeling "inspired" for a moment there. Best thing to do is contact a vendor that actually puts these kits together and get the right answer the first time in 2 minutes flat.

Wlee mr KJEWER1 I see you actually own an evo that is a good start compared to most usless responses like yours. Let me clear your mind that I have been amember here longer than yopu and am on my second evo which my 03' was purchased befroe they were released. My 06' MR which was purchased last Oct. and already included a GT3076 etc. If you donot really have much o knowledge to input judging by your 11.56 05 evo then I would suggest you keep to your self. Remember, respect your elders who have the greater knowledge and don't have to post their fastes qurter mile times because they have somany that it dosen't matter. Money is no object in this game of performance unless you are pinched with your car payment!

My response was just a general humorous reply to all of the gay posts I see polluting this forum, wasn't intended for you specifically. But you can't be very experienced if you don't know that calling or emailing the vendor is the best way to get accurate answers for specific questions such as yours. Not sure why you felt the need to give me your life story. This is my first EVO, but I have owned one full weight 95 GSX that went 11.3 at 126 2-3 years ago, as well as a 91 daily driver with an EVO 16g, and a gutted 90 AWD. I've been building and racing DSMs for 7 years, and I'm nearly 30 myself. So I don't know what the hell you are talking about. Go flirt with someone else.

Yeah, We can do one :-D

It hasn't been tested, but I will make the kit. Give me a call at the shop to set it up!

That's probably the funniest thing I've read on this forum. If you'd been around for any reasonable period of time, you would know who Kevin is and that his knowledge far surpasses most people on this site, including yours. I think his post was right on, if you were serious you'd start doing some research and making phone calls. You'd probably discover that buying anything from SBR is pain in the *** process, and not worth your time or money.

Ahhh, see

Thanks,, I got the response that I was looking for. The reason I posted this thread was due to the fact that I researched this forum and found nothing. The main reason is that I really cannot spare the time in my day to sit on a phone and ask questions. Now when I see the kit and results which I couldn't find on here I will most likely purchase due to the cast manifold.

Not to jack the thread again but they aren't the only shop that uses a cast manifold.. I can think of at least two more than are race proven.

The really funny part about this is Kevin and I have known each other for at least 5 of the 7 years he has been racing DSM's and is a fantastic person, and an even better customer... I still remember the first motor you had Kevin and our date at Ruby Tuesday's.... ahhh the memories!

The good old days... Hard to believe how much time has passed, but it has indeed been about 5 years. despite all the bad press on this site, after 5 years and 8-10k in business for my own personal cars, I still use SBR almost exclusively. There have been some minor bumps along the way, as you'll get with any vendor, but I have always found that just talking to the guys over there quickly results in a fair and equitable resolution for both of us.

The forums are an excellent resource, but there are still times when simply talking to the vendor person to person is the best course of action. I can appreciate your point though, since I work 12-14 hour night shifts and getting on the phone during the day can be a real pain in the ***.

I just want to say that SBR has good service. I bought an upgrade turbo from them a couple of years ago for a GSX(GSX number 2) and their service was excellent.

I know that my feedback might sounds irrelevant to the subject but at least it is a positive feedback for the vendor. I would trust SRB in a hearbeat, they mean business
