My car was doing the same thing last night, oil light flashing at idle.... but goes away when you give it a little gas.... if its the oil sensor... where is it located??

when my buddys did that in his he spun a bearing :[, it still ran tho , now he gets to build the motor! lol

 

You shouldn't be getting the light with 10W-30 weight oil.

The first thing to do is to change out the oil pressure switch. They tend to go bad and the replacement part is inexpensive. After that, if you are still getting the light, have a gauge installed on the engine so you can see what is going on - stupid light.

 

i would say you hit the sensor and slightly broke it when doing a repair like some tranny work or something
