2.75" vs. 3" downpipe

I've searched and have yet to come up with a definitive answer...my question is this, what are the advantages/disadvantages of a 2.75" or a 3" dp? I've heard that the 2.75" will help spool and lowend tq a little bit more than a 3" but the 3" will yeild slightly bigger gains overall (how much bigger?). I want to try and put and end to this debate (although I highly doubt that this will happen ) Thanks

No, the 2.75 won't help with spool. There is no advantage, but there's not a noticeable loss in anything (power, spool, etc). There's no debate really. Get a 2.75" if you have a specific reason to get one related to cost or availability, but there are no advantages.

Not really. My 3" BR DP has beautiful fitment - it comes with some nice cross bar spacers to ensure this.

so are you saying that a 2.75" dp will create the same amount of power as a 3" dp with same mods?
