324whp/348lb.ft. = 430bhp/462tq??

At 21psi, those IX turbo's move the same air as a VIII turbo at 25psi. Add this to the other 9 qualities and those results aren't surprising at all, still impressive though.

Whats that equivalent to on Mustang?

Glad I didn't waste any money on a catback, definatly have to gut out the muffler check valve however

Thats wrong. They have a larger compressor housing which is helping it but its not moving any more air than a 2005 turbo. Its the same compressor wheel, same turbine wheel, same turbine housing (10.5). The IX's have more aggressive intake cams with higher lift, they have MIVEC, they have better designed heads to allow more timing. Many factors. Its not an EVO8 with a different turbo. I dont know where you people come up with these ideas.

This aint an idea engineerboy: The compressor housing was increased in order to keep up with increasing demands and loads with the mivec sytem. The evo IX comsumes more air period, and would not be able to do so with the VIII compressor.

The turbo itself isn't the cause of the IX's power, niether is any other single changed IX component, it's the whole system alltogether
