TBE+02 housing=boost cut?
I installed my TBE and drove the hell out of the car. felt great. I am going to get tuned next week. so I installed my 02 housing and BR cone filter. the car feels great, but I am hitting boost cut in 3rd gear at WOT. I can go through 1st and 2nd fine, but around 5000-6000rpm it hits boost cut and bucks. I dont remember the number for the code but it was an overboost code. I dont know how many PSI its running yet, my gauge was supposed to be hear yesturday. Stock tune, stock boost control. Im guessing its from the 02 housing. Just wondering if its normal to experience this without a tune or boost controller

The o2 housing along with the open element filter will induce more boost, combine that with winter weather and I could easily see you hitting boost cut.
I don't know what it is with the stock evo9 ecu programming but they're retarded until flashed for some reason.

yeah. I am going to get a tune. I did the filter and 02 housing at the same time, so I dont know if it would behave better with the stock filter back on. but it has been cold so boost would be inclined to spike and increase. I am going to pick up a gauge tonight. so we'll see what its doing. but I am also going to install my MBC so control it a little better then tune next week hopefully. does anyone know what the stock boost cut is set at?how many PSI? I know its a value that has to be sustained for a certain length of time. like a second of constant pressure or somethign like that.

The boost cut is MAINLY from the conical filter and cold weather that make the MAF sensor think its injesting more air than it actually is. Tuning will take car of that. You are likely running really rich.
