I took off my evo 8 spoiler today because i just dont like it. I want something smaller or something that goes with the car better, call me crazy. Is the trunk the same size as a regular lancer so i can use that as a base to find a spoiler that will fit? Meaning a spoiler that fits a lancer will fit an evo 8 sincee most companys dont have the evo listed yet.

i sold the spoiler for 575 dollars and shipping it tommorrow. I want a spoiler like this one in the picture i atached. I wish i knew if my trunk was the same size as one of the hondas or acuras that this black widow spoiler is made for.

nope the evo 8 spoiler (carbon fiber) sells at the dealer for 1200

I can’t help but agree with you. I too think that the Evo spoiler is fairly hideous.

It’s a real shame that it works or I would have lost it long ago. I have toyed with the idea of getting a blank trunk for my E5 GSR so that I can experiment. I suspect that the car would look good without a spoiler period. Dropped and with its wide stance the wing seems overdone.

 

i have a dealer relationship with a mits dealership and cant get that spoiler for under $1100

 

Well if and when I get my EVO 8, i'll trade the wing for the same color OZ wing...the EVO wing just doesnt cut it for me.

 

funny this topic came up. I just called the mitsu dealer and the dealer cost on the EVO wing is $914 and the OZ wing is $700. The parts guy told me if I wanted the OZ I could get it for $600. Remember this is dealer cost. I too saw the $480, i think that is the upgrade price from the OZ wing.

The EVO 8 wing is an option, the OZ wing is the wing that comes with the car, but most people want the big wing. So, yes you can get the EVO with the smaller wing from the factory.

 

So the holes that are already in the deck lid for the big spoiler are the same size/location for the OZ spoiler? It is a direct replacement? Does the OZ spoiler have a thrid brake light in it?

 

IF you guys want the OZ spoiler, check out ebay...there are tons of companies (good ones) selling the spoiler PAINTED for around $200-$250.
