Anybody ever had warranty issues for using t-clamps? I know that would be stupid, but I'd rather not do anything to give the dealership a reason.

I don't think some of the local Mitsu techs could tell the difference between t-bolt clamps and Q-tips. I wouldn't worry about loosing warranty with those... DO IT!

You guys were correct about the problem. I ended up leaving it at the dealership until they opened this morning. They hooked it back up this morning for no charge. It was the part where the turbo outlet feeds to the intercooler.

I'm ordering t-bolt clamps right now!

Yep my IC hose at the throttle body get me once. I thought the damn turbo blew up or something. I used a spring loaded clamp like shown in link player1 posted and have had no problems since.

Question

So my Evo will be coming off the truck on Saturday! Can one of y'all with a little more expertise than me post some pix on installing the t-clamps and all the best places to put them? If you need to make a new thread, that's cool. Just post the link for me.

Once you get the car, remove the top air box and the plastic tray underneath the engine bay so you can have complete access to the air track. Then start from the turbo outlet, replace every single "worm" clamps you see with a "tbolt" clamp. Do that all the way to the last clamp before the throttle body.
The trick is to measure each clamp as they sit tightened. The outside diameter is what you need to spec the new clamps to. Too large or too small the tbolt clamps will not help.

Thanks for the info. Any tips on measuring the outside diameter?
