can new exhaust effect my boost?

i just installed a 3 inch bruschur tbe exhasust with high flow cat. and my boost jumped up by 3psi. to 23psi? i havent been tuned again since exhasut went on. but i have the brushur intake forge MBC and walboro fuel pump and a dynoflash.

can adding an exhaust do this or do i have something else going on? this is in 3rd 4th and 5th gear. i didnt confirm it in 2nd or 1st.

Yes its 100% normal. You're freeing up a lot of breathing room with the addition of an exhaust.

You can leave it (what i would do ) or compensate by turning down your boost controller a full turn.

That's what happens when adding a full exhaust. You need to turn the boost down.

Nope. Out of all those listed the head studs would be the weak link but you'll be fine without ARP's studs until about 28psi w/ the aid of methanol/alcohol injection.

It might be safe for you to run 23 psi since it's on a IX but you should run your car at the psi it was tuned at.

I suggest data logging, boost gauges tend to be inaccurate...

+2.

My car's gauge spikes to like 1.6 bar of pressure but it's actually only spiking to
22lbs peak in the log.

you have to have a logger and a map sensor but 23 psi is safe on a IX because of the head design, especially if your running head studs
