50 trim?
50 trim?
Hey guys,
I'm really confused about this 50 trim turbo, I find them everywhere but I don't really know which one is the one I should have. As most of you will debate on this, I should say that I am only looking for the turbo itself. The manifold will be custom made. I'll be running 96 octane here in Manila, and that's it. But my question is where do I get an O2 housing for this? Does the stocker work with the 50 trim? And where can I get all the necessary lines and bolts? Here are some examples of the turbos...

If anyone of you have used a 50 trim (or one of these), please post what you think about it. I'm not really after those bigger GT turbos since I'll be running 96 octane gas only. If there's anything else I should know (like if the 20g would compare to this), please do post that too! Thanks!

im building one too so it makes 2 of us...i've pieced up t-kits for my teg but the evo shouldn't be much harder...
to answer your question you will basically need custom mani, o2 housing, oil lines/waterlines...

vendors like slowboy racing might have the o2 housing your looking for but it only works with the mani that they have avaliable!!!...if you are using your own mani then a custom o2 housing is needed...(height and length differences) but as far as line goes slowboy and even local race shops should have all your oil and water line needs!!!...if not they can point you to the right direction!!!
Hey OEBoost, thanks for the info! I'll stay tuned to have some info on your project as well so I can get some ideas! Where did you get your 50 trim from? I guess the guys here who are making my manifold can also make the O2 housing... but the lines? I have no idea exactly what to get! I'm clueless!
a friend of my upgraded his turbo from his integra...so i ended up buying his 50 trim...pretty much because of the specs...
my turbo
.50 comp housing
.63 turbine housing
stage 3 turbine wheel
...basic 50 trim imho...but i just really want to know how this kit is going to be like...a little testing of my own...
--but oil lines can be found here in the states @ summitracing.com
your going to need at least
-15'' 3an braided line
-1 banjo fitting with bolt(stock can be used...i think its 10mmx1.5) someone confirm me here...
-45 degree 1/8npt to 3 an flared fitting for the turbo!!!
--i think slowboy has the correct return line fittings
-1 t3/t4 return fitting
-1 dsm oil pan fitting
-1' 10an oil braided line(i think its the correct size for the fittings)
-1 45 degree 10an fitting
-1 straight 10an fitting...
--if your turbo is watercooled then you will need barb fittings straight/angled and clamp down fuel/water lines to existing stock lines!!!
--the only thing i could think of is the lower intercooler pipe as a problem...i have the neisei licp and didnt want to hack a nice piece...so im thinking about using silcone or custom pipe to adapt to the existing neisei licp from the comp housing, since the stock turbo is closer to the licp than the 50 trim...there will be a difference...hopefully i dont have to hack this but i will if i have to!!!
my goal is to keep this kit under 1000...of course the only thing that is used will be the turbo!!!
