Looking for information on "missing fire system" !

Heard that is the most wild modification u can do to the Evo, but seems like nobody really does that in the state.
"missing fire system" is acutally modify the ignition timing let the heat ignite the fuel rather than spark, makes turbo spoon even u release the gas pedal, and the sound will be like a canon with big back fire throw out of the exhaust.
that as far as i know about it, but is there any shop know how to do this modification? do i need a standalone ignition system or just use ECU?
any information will help, thanx so much!

Maybe there is a reason NOBODY does this. doesn't sound like a good idea to me!! Maybe you are lost, and thought you were on a Honda site, or a "cars from the 50's with flamethrowers" site.

Or maybe he has a legitimate reason for asking because he is a drag racer / rallyist / or road racer looking to keep boost between shifts.

First the cons-
Significantly shortens turbo life. No way around it, it will kill the turbo.
Hard on any exhaust manifold, but especially one that is not cast.
Only available on JDM Evos and requires hardware, wiring harness, and then programming (not yet found, well the actual map anyway in the IX),

You can accomplish this with the stock Ecu but requires additional parts to make it work, or you can buy a standalone and do it as most support this function.

If that were the case, he wouldn't be asking here....

Actually, there are some anti-lag systems that would fit this description (if you took it kind of generally). If you google anti-lag, you'll start to understand what the concept is, and why it has very narrow applications, mostly limited to cars with inconel turbine wheels and short service life...

Midget, the anti-lag that comes stock on EVOs it's really "anti-lag" per se... It uses air to keep the turbo spooled, whereas an actual "misfiring system/anti-lag system" delays spark to the point that it's igniting raw fuel INSIDE the exahust manifold. Ti compressor wheels are a MUST if you plan on running anti-lag, it helps the turbo's life, but you'll still go through them fairly regularly...

Do a YouTube search for "Anti lag" or "Autronic", it's cool ****,

Thanx Stocky, I had an Autronic SM2 on my WRX. I knowz the difference between electromechanical Anti lag and ignition antilag. The JDM Evo Antilag system is the Misfiring system (at least from the noise level) that this fellow was discussing.

I saw videos of a couple Evo's in the US with ALS systems. Autotronic makes an ECU specialized in the use of it. Like what everyone said before, it is rough on the turbo to say the least. There is some sort of option to switch it on and off, but imagine what kind of work it would take to get the system running perfectly... It just isn't worth it when you can but a smaller, faster spooling turbo for track days IMO

Hahaha! Thanx for everyone's attention.
well, i ain't real racer, just watch too much initial D i guess. But i do think it's cool as hell. (i don't think big V8 with flame throw muffler is cool) also i play the xbox360 game "Import Tuner Challenge", they put missing fire system in high level engine upgrade too...
Well, guess is not really my next modification then.
But what's next? Camshaft? but seems japanese brand didn't release any camshaft for evo9 yet, right?
