clunk/clang sound when shifting from first to reverse..?!

I have heard all the news and have been keeping up to date on the transmission thread.. being an owner myself i went out and did a lil' self check to see if i had any problems.. none. But yesterday, i was sitting in the driveway, and i had my door open as i was only moving a few feet, and ill tell you the exact sequence to see if any of you can replicate this "problem", i depress the clutch, take it out of first, while keeping the pedal down i shifted to reverse, JUST before it slips into gear i hear a clang, a really sloppy one at that, and so i did it again.. and again.. and again, i dont know what the deal is but i just wanted to know if anyone else is hearing this (note: i could barely hear it when the door was closed). And i was not rolling when i shifted into reverse, so thats out of the equation also.
