When I shift to third gear it grinds and gets into third. Im holding the clutch down but it still gets caught and to put it in third i have to force it in. Once its in gear it works fine also its fine when taking it out of gear to neutral. I dunno whats wrong ne ideas? Right now i keep off my third gear when i drive.

 

my friends jetta did the same thing but only in about the 5-6k rpm range, above 6k it was ok and below 5k....after a while it just quit doing it, so i dont kno either

 

sounds like maybe a tranny syncro you in hugh revor what ?

 

wats hugh revor? any other ideas b4 i take it to shop?
