Why did you say that, Seth??

xspsi, if you're referring to just the diffs, then use the Mitsu OEM DiaQueen LSD Gear Oil, and you should buy it at mitsubishiparts.net. Don't buy anything from Lancershop. If you need trans fluid, then get the Mitsu OEM Super DiaQueen 75w/85 also from mitsubishiparts.net.

Been lurking mostly , Troy.
Looking to get transfer case (Diaqueen) and tranny oil from the same location to save on shipping-do you know if I can get both from TRE at a reasonable price?

Go Amsoil. It's the best. Been using it in my Evo with no problems.

Fluid for the five speed tranny is subjective. I use only OEM mitsubishi stuff. Bring your own gallon jug as it comes in a drum to the dealer. As far as I can tell there is no part # for this. 1 gallon costs me 12 dollars. People use BG syncroshift and Redline fluids with great success. The super diaqueen is for the MR six speed ONLY. I do not know how well it works in the 5 speed box.

For the transfer case and rear differential you buy DiaQueen LSD fluid that you at Mitsubishi dealerships for $45-50 dollars. Comes in a can. There is debate on here about this but THERE SHOULD NOT BE. This is the the ONLY stuff for the transfer case and rear differential.

No need to get them anywhere besides mitsubishiparts.net. No, the Super DiaQueen isn't only for the 6spd. It just only comes in the 6spd.
