I've seen these cams run on a vehicle with no head work done, and there were not any issues. Car was controlled with Autronic and the idle was lumpy, but not unbearable, the car pulled like mad for a stock turbo. There cams are going in my car, they are worth the extra cash IMO.

I did a ton of research when I was shopping, and came to the Revolver conclusion...very happy with the choice. I think you may eventually come to the same.

However, since then some new cams have come on the market with similar specs that could be considered. The thread I posted above has some good information on the HKS vs. Revolver.

BTW - I hope to replace my TME with a 50 trim this year...can't wait

I will keep checking this thread

Did you have other brand of cams before or you went straight to the Revolvers? I might buy them as a New Years gift for myself I'll have to contact Buschur for them I think. Do they come in different setups like the HKS or they are only one type of spec?

Well for what I've been reading in the past 2 hours (Im home sick with horrid flu and fever) the Revolvers are agressive as hell, they need to be degreed for proper idle quality (still you will have a lumpy V8 type idle, which I dont mind ) you will achieve beter turbo spoolup ( I wonder how better) and improved torque and also top end will be much better, they or so people say are compared to HKS 272's but I think for what I have searched, JUN's are less agressive.

Someone with experience in both cams should really chime in and give us some proper knowledge based on real facts.

Nope. Coming from stock cams. They only list one set for 4G63T.

I hear that there are several companies including Cosworth, Tomei, and JUN that are doing higher lift designs now as well...but I have not researched them.

Yes, the idle is aggressive, but not near as aggressive as most of the V8s I've owned and worked on for a living. These cams are not very aggressive in the grand scheme of motorsport. With the right tuning, these can find a stable idle even with the factory ECU/MAS setup. But stable does not necessarily equal smooth. Hot rods and race cars don't usually have a "smooth" idle...so if you are not into that, I would not recommend these cams.

Like I said, mine run very well set to 0/0. The HKS 272/Revolver A/B test with dyno sheet is in the thread I posted.

Now all you need is to find some numbers from a like setup using JUN, Tomei, Cosworth or other cams...and draw some basic conclusions. Remember I have a ton of flow work done in the head/manifolds

That one will take a lot of research. To my knowledge, no one has done an A/B/C/D/E...etc. for all major makers test in the manner that Timzcat did with Revolver and HKS. My feeling is that no one probably ever will.

I have heard his car in person, IMO it sounds pretty freakin bad azz. Currently I'm trying to decide between a set of these cams or a set of Tomei 280's........whelp, that's my 0.02

Make your life easy. Call Buschur.

I just saw a thread somewhere about the fact that he is not recomending Revolvers anymore or the customer service is bad.... can't remember.

Give him a call since he sold and installed quite a few of them. I'm sure he can answer all of your questions.

I'm runnin Jun 272's.

Good luck
