P0011 code on evo 9?

Hey guys I got a cel fix and when I pulled the code it was P0011 and when I looked it up it said

P0011 A Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance (Bank 1))

So my understanding is that the cam timing is off?

I had the same issue after getting my cams installed on my IX. The code used to come on very low revs in partial throttle. It went away by itself after a month - my guess is either the ECU got used to the new cams (or - this is pure speculation on my part - due to the slightly lower octane gas that I started using, the ECU does not advance timing as mush in lower revs??? so it does not trow the code anymore)

I suggest that you search vishnu forum for further info. I know there is a thread where shiv explains the reasons for p011.

Yeah, I recently had a set of gsc 280s installed. This is when the problem started to occur.

Did the problem ever go away?
I have the same problem, in my case I am positive timing is correct, cams are not 180 degrees out and the pin of the intake cam is in the pinhole.
I got to start replacing sensors and I want to find out where to start.
