Shifter Bushings...metal or poly?

Ok so i've searched and read about every thread on the shifter bushings.
So far it seems that there are the:

Kartboy:

Brass Metal ones (Brand?):

Poly Ones:

Zaklee:

It seems some are metal some are poly......so which ones are better?

As of right now i am set on the brass Metal ones for both the shifter inside the cabin and the shifter cable inside the engine bay.

Please share your opinions, experiences and any comments....

Wow I was just reading up on all this stuff. So far it looks like a lot of people like the buschur aluminum ones. I think I'm gonna go with buschur for the both under hood and base bushings.

I have heard the metal ones can bind in cold weather. I personally have brass shifter base bushings and the zaklee metal ones for the engine bay and it is a little ruff to put into gear in the morning in the cold but it goes away after a shift or two. I have had them in since christmas of last year.

I think that's what you found huh? And I have the S.S clutch line. I had it put in when I had my clutch done.

I guess they don't carry the base ones.

Well as the far as the clutch line is concerned, you won't feel anything. And the bushings, I haven't purchased em yet. I actually started researching on em today and you posted this thread. . I'll be ordering those buschur bushings, and I dunno where I'm gonna get the base ones from.

I have the Zaklee bushings and they work great. Very easy to install also. Plus, they're aluminum, so no worries about rust and they're light

In my VIII I had the Speed Source brass base bushings, 2pc metal linkage bushings, perrin SS topped off w/ a GReddy shift knob, restrictor pill removed and a ss braided clutch line and shifting was smooth and crisp....I will be doing the exact same setup on my IX

Good to hear....i'm leaning toward the speed source myself.

Can you elaborate more on the RESTRICTOR PILL......what is it?
