Video AMS EVO 8 12.57 at 111mph

Here is the video of our run. Sorry it took a while but we've been so busy here at the shop and running the NDRA drag racing series (lots of traveling). The record setting run (12.54 at 112mph) wasn't caught on tape due to the camcorder battery dying.

We're almost done with our stage II setup and this should get the car into the high 11's.

Thanks-

Martin

Great run, i'm curious...is it just me, or is that track downhill?

AMS, what's the scoop on the AMS ECU? There is very little information on your web site. Availability, gains, etc?

I've never been there, but my friends SWEAR that Byron raceway is indeed downhill.

That run was with the following mods:

Boost controller (21psi falling to 19-20psi)
K&N Air filter
MAS pipe (extra 3-4whp)
AMS turbo back exhaust with test pipe
APexi-AFC II - tuned on our dyno for max power

This is our stage I package. I've done many tests on the EVO 8 to measure pressure drops across the intercooler and piping, intercooler efficiency, turbo efficiency, ect. The upgrade path we're taking is purposeful and the most direct way to make horsepower without any wasted parts (or $$).

Thanks,
Martin

does no one care that this is downhill drag strip? that will definitely make a car faster in the quarter!

AMS,
what are you launching at, and how are you launching?
Also, what RPM have you been shifting at?
Last but not least what was your 60ft?

Check that your Evo parts links work, I couldn't connect to them today....

It's actually a 30% grade
The track is not downhill. The end of it is uphill. The track is called Byron Dragway in IL, give them a call and they'll explain if you want the scoop.
