i use it, n i love it, but the reason most ppl dont use it is because if you keep it vta, it knocks off your maf sensor n messes up the air flow readings, making your car think its gettnig less air then it actually is (I believe?) there for causing your car to sputter under partial throttle. also when sitting at a light it can cause your car to sputter n sometimes the rpms drop down below where tehy should b, sometimes causing the car to stall

all u need to do is recirc it, with the recirc kit and ull b good to run lots of boost

You've got the effect backwards. The MAF already metered that air that gets vented to atmosphere and the ECU injects fuel for it but, because the air obviously isn't going through the motor anymore it goes pig rich and stumbles.

partial throttle sputter is surge, tight valves can cause that. Hotrod is correct. I use the valve and its great however i think i will be switching to a Tial very soon b/c i hear even the HKS valve can't hold high boost pressures that well.

People always claim no problems, but most of the time they don't even know it's causing problems. It's really bad, because then noobs think it's ok to get it, which is very discouraging...

Its not bad at all depending on the setup you currently have. Stock/ish evo, yes bad, between the rich conditions and surging i would stay clear of it.

unless you use a GM MAF translator you will run into problems. Still better to keep the recirc. IX BOV IMO is the best you can get. or the WORKS DV
