Low whp ?

[IMG][/IMG]

I made 279 hp and 285 tq at buschurs with a custom tune w/ecuflash mods are 680cc injectors, walbro 255, clipped turbo,21psi, 93 octane ,2.3 stroker, intercooler and lower ic piping, TBE w/test pipe, 264 cams from hks, and ats clutch. I always thought my dyno numbers were low. My afr max was 11.5. What do yall think about my numbers? And buschurs dyno is a mustangdyno. I think my numbers are really low and my car doesnt feel any faster when they did the cams stroker and the tune. Spent a lot of money and felt no gains. Only difference I feel is the car runs smoother and boost is a little sooner but where is the extra power? How should I approach this? I did a boost leak test and it holds at 21 psi fine. Do I just have a weak evo? Im ready for a turbo upgrade and hope I dont make ****ty power with a bigger turbo.

Do you have the ability to log a couple pulls? If you do look for things like: unstable AFR's, knock, IDC, etc. On the hardware side do a compression check, check the cam gear settings, make sure everything is tip top. Sometimes it can be really dumb stuff that causes issues.

those numbers seem really low especially for 93 on a mustang dyno i did a road dyno and all i have done is a Buschur TBE and an AEM intake. As for tuning issues there is a few things i found online like cam tunes and a different restrictor pill leading to the waste gate and i got around 252WHP and 260WT on 91. As JB said check for knock and compression checks.

I made 284 whp 290 wtq on a mustand dyno too.......
My compression is 140 across...
My friend check the comprssion on his newly built 4g63 ( pistons & rods) and his was only 160 across with no miles on the motor..same compression guage.
I ran a 12.68 at 108mph.......I thought my WHP #'s were kinda low too, but on a dynojet I am over 300 whp and you are right near 300 whp.

My cams aren't the greatest....works 269. Are you on stock turbo? I'd do a compression check and then go from there......

Compression is 165 on all 4 cyl. My stock turbo just recently took a dump (oil seal). Yes this was stock turbo stock hotside however it was clipped. I am now going with a GT3071, I have no data loging capabilitys other than an aem uego and the a/f looks great. The boost never held well always went from 21 to 18 sometimes even lower. Anyone have any Ideas?

Anyone think I shouldnt be concerned? I was also thinking maybe the oil seal going bad might have had something to do with the low power and boost leak. Again I didnt hear any leaks with a boost leak test. The stock turbo was taken off today with the help of a fellow evo member. I hope I wont be stuck with unusally low hp with the new turbo.
