What do you guys think??

I am looking to get a TBE very soon for my newly bought 03 evo. I was looking at the Turbo XS, Tanable Concept G Blue, and the HKS Carbon-Ti. Can you tell me which one, or recommend another one that would be best for me??

The first thing you should do when investigating ANY type of upgrade is to spend some time searching EvoM for pictures, feedback, and pricing on what you're considering.

When it comes to exhausts, there's one for every budget, every style, and every sound.

I, myself, chose a Helix v2 Turboback because it was priced competitively ($800 shipped with High Flow Cat and O2 Housing) and because the feedback was very good in terms of quality, fitment, and sound. Plus I wasn't ready to go with a full Stage 1 kit, because my car only has 3000mi on it... I won't be getting a tune or really going beyond exhaust for the first few years.

Another popular option is the Buschur Racing Turboback. But, in all honesty, it boils down to what your goal is for the car, how much you want to spend, and how quickly you want to spend it. For example, the Buschur stages are a great place to start if you want to spend $1300+ all at once.

I encourage you to search the forums, because you'll find more info already out there than you will from this thread (at least that's what I'm predicting)

Go out and hear others, see what sound you like and pick the exhaust that way...

i have the ams turbo back exhaust and i love it. the buschur is the lightest and best flowing but in my personal opinion it doesnt fit my looks needs so i went with ams. my friend has a turboxs exhaust on his ix though and it is very nice. it is quieter and fits slightly better than my ams exhaust. the ams exhaust tip stick out from the bumper where the turboxs exhast is flush or even in a little bit from the bumper. i would reccomend the turboxs exhaust but make sure you get a heat shield!

Go to the show and shine forum and go though threads that show catbacks or turbo backs and get some ideas of what it looks like on the car.

Why?

My vote would be Buschur's with the bullet muffler.

Why its simple

better air flow

The cooling of the ti along is a big plus.

Cooler temps = more power

thats why Super Steet Mag when they did a test back in 03 this catback laid down the most power 25whp gain thats only catback turboback was 47whp more. Nothing even came close to it.

I have you ignored, but I knew you were responding to my post, so I couldnt help myself and had to see what nonsense you wrote.

You are WRONG, although your right it is very simple...

better air flow?
it's a 3in catback exhaust, 3in of straight piping, titanium moves air faster than steel? Bottom line.. it doesn't flow any better than Buschur.

cooling?
here's why you are WRONG... why do people wrap their manifolds? why do people wrap their exhaust? to keep heat IN, hot air flows faster than cold air. You want hot air flowing through your exhaust, it gets through the piping faster.

cooler temps=more power?
cooler temps make more power if the air is cooler entering the cylinder. You want the air as hot as possible entering the hotside of the turbo, and your exhaust piping. It flows faster, see above ^

I really hope no one took your post seriously, terrible, terrible advice. Welcome back to my ignore list..
