Solid lifters do work, they work great in fact, but you only want to go with shims, not adjustable, and as such they are a nightmare to set up.

And unless you want to go beyond 1000awhp or rev over 9krpm, you just don't need them on an Evo.

I think Dave awas alluding more to the "it's just not worth it" than saying "they don't work".

Actually solid lifters don't work. As was said, the fastest most powerful 4G63's in the world are using the factory stock hydraulic lifters. End of story.

If you think you are going to need them, you are wrong.
