you think i can get around 300 whp with these mods?

Hybrid performance FMIC
2.75" UICP
2.75" LICP
boost controller set @ 22 psi
Walbro fuel pump
3" megan exhaust with custom welded 3" test pipe and v-band connection.
3" Jun B.L. cat back
K/N cone filter adapter
dynoflash custom tune (soon to come on 2/10/07)

do you think i can hit 300+ whp with these mods? if not what other mods should i grab before the tune? my goal is to reach 325-370 whp... dont want to go all crazy because this is my daily driven car.

maybe right about 300 dynojet #'s, 03/04 evo's really suffer from the 9.8 hotside. Also get some cams

Don't really understand the FMIC and piping when those cost a good bit more than cams (almost double?) and make half the power, but with those other mods, you are capable of 300whp on a Dynojet, though it doesn't mean you WILL hit it, since every Evo is different. Be sure to get a proper aftermarket DV, too. You don't want to keep the stocker with those mods.

What do you mean by "325-370whp"? You are only asking about 300whp and haven't mentioned anything about future mods, so I was confused by that statement. Also, that's a HUGE range that is too far apart to be written, since achieving each extreme would require a much different combo of mods...

I think you might be close but it will be hard on the 9.8 hotside....I suggest the SS O2 housing, ported & coated mani & 10.5 hotside, and FULL 3" exhaust

cams will help alot too

Buddy of mine dynoed his 03 w/stock 9.8 hs at AMS 309whp with these mods:

TB w/ hf cat.
hks 272's
255 walbro
BR maf pipe with open air filter
upgraded DV
base dynoflash
22 psi 93 oct.
He also ran 12.2@111+

So I don't know if you'll do 300+ w/ out cams at 22 psi.
I'd hold off in the IC and piping and get cams instead.

I got that intercooler & pipes for a decent price... paid a price $400 for the whole kit. i got it from a carshop that is going out of business and he only has one of these kits that is made for the evo.. and he gave it up to me for a good price.. so im not complaining about that.

cams... i am getting cams but there are soo many cams to get. I do like to keep my stock springs so I prolly would want to go with either GSC or HKS 272s. but what are the differences between the two? do they make the same amount of power? i did a few searches on that and I havent seen any credible feedback on it. if you guys have dynosheets between the two please post it up.

and warr what do you mean by DV??

DV = Diverter Valve, which is what is we use to purge boost pressure back into the intake. Your stocker is plastic and weak, so you need a stronger one.

Even $400 for all that, I wouldn't spend, because a set of cams is only $450. The difference between GSC and HKS 272s is basically $100 - that's all.

Depends on the dyno, but even on a dynojet, I'm not sure you'll get 300. Get the cams in before the custom tune! You'll gain more!!!!

I have the hks 272 and am very happy with them. They have a good sounding cam lop to them (not to say the others wouldn't either).

Yes, HKS 272s are good cams, and you can get any lope you want or no lope. However, you can do the same for $100 less with other cams.
