EVOLutionary, how much extra was it to have the compressor housing polished like that, it looks great. Also, did you get it from FP or BR. I ask because I have yet to see one polished and it doesnt say that is offered.

I ordered the turbo from Buschur. The polishing is not an advertised option, either with Buschur or FP (don't know why). I had my 20g9-5 custom polished too because I like the look. The polishing was done at FP. After Buschur got the turbo from FP they sent out the hotside to get coated. I don't know how much it cost, didn't really pay attention. Give the Buschur a call and I am sure they will be able to tell you. I'm guessing $250-400 for both services.

The turbo definately looks good..... even better in person.

The turbine housing polishing is a $95 option from FP. The porting and coating on our end is $195. Both services are additional to the standard cost of the 20G-9LT.

Looking forward to seeing what you can do with that turbo this year Jarrod.

Hey my friend just put this turbo on his Evo IX on Saturday...he made 335 whp (don't remember the torque # have to check dyno) on a dynojet with an ECU flash tune. Running crap gas...90 octane.

The boost went to 24 psi and tapered back to 20 psi in 3rd gear...in 4th & 5th it went to 24psi and tapered to 22 psi...he's using a forge MBC.

His other mods are: K&N drop-in filter, 02 housing, downpipe & greddy titanium exhaust.

The car hauls ***...pulls really well great street turbo spool up is awesome. Previous to this he dynoed 297 at same boost levels...the car got a lot more power in the upper rpm over the stock 9 turbo. I will try and get a copy of the graph and post later this week.

No final results yet. Picked up alot of low end torque but trying to track down a problem with my car that is limiting top end HP. Basically, my car is making the same 370whp above 5500 rpms with:
20G9-5, pump+meth, 24psi
20G9-5, C16, 28psi
20G-LT, pump+meth, 25psi
20G-LT, C16, 30psi

with only the amount and onset of low end torque changing. Basically the HP lines of all 4 of those setups intersect at about 5000-5500 and lay on top of eachother all the way to 7000. Even with more boost and timing changes the car won't make any more power than 370, however it continues to pick up TQ.

The way my engine is making crazy TQ down low and having a hard time breathing up top I almost think it is a cam timing issue, like the cams may have been indexed advanced quite a bit.

Anyway, the car is still at Buschur Racing and David is going to mess around with it some more and try to get it to it's full potential.

Maybe there's a restriction some place. Is your air filter clean? Perhaps something has come apart inside your muffler? Or maybe the throttle blades aren't opening all the way. I'd look for a simple mechanical restriction somewhere.
