What? The infamous Revolver cams aren't making huge amounts of power on a relatively mild setup? Shocker

I keep telling people this and pointing them to my thread, but some refuse to listen.

There's a reason nobody hears from Revolver anymore, and it isn't because their product is incredible. There is no Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, or magic cam named Revolver.

No progress. I added the LT/EVOGreen, BR ported intake manifold, BR ported 65mm throttle body, BR UICP, and the car made NO more power than it did last year with the 20G9-5.

Initially it made a TON more low end torque - more torque at 3000 rpms than any evo I have ever seen. But, spooling the turbo that fast caused even worse partial throttle surge than before. DB played with the cam gears to move the powerband up, but all it did was lose the big hit of low end torque.

After changing all the parts I could because my "combination" wasn't all from a certain place, it still made no difference. In the end I think the problem is in the cams/valvetrain. I will be sending the cams back to Revolver to test to see if they are withing spec. I have a new set of GSC S1 cams coming for my new EVO.

I am scrapping the silver car, putting it back to stock. I just bought a new EVO IX RS and am going to start from scratch to build the fastest autocross EVO in the country. . .

You'll have to wait and see!

One thing I can tell you, it's going to be both faster and handle better than the silver car, while being a more comfortable daily driver. . .
