Check out my Dyno results

I hope this is in the right place, but here goes.

My mods are:

ECUTEK, Perrin 3" DP, Perrin Cat Delete, Agency Power Cat Back, Agency Power MBC, and AEM Intake. Tuned at Vivid Racing.

From what I've read it seems like these mods would be making more power. The tuner said that the blow off valve is leaking/not holding boost, thus the wavy boost curve. I was just wondering how much a leaky stock BOV would effect the overall power.

The last few runs I did see it pull around 275-278hp, unfortantly I left there totally forgetting to get any dynosheets. It took almost a month to get them to finnally email this one, which isnt even one that has the full HP on it.

Either way, I just wanted to get some more info on this wavy boost curve, and find out for sure if its the BOV, the tune or what. Thanks for looking.

Seems like good dyno numbers on a mustang dyno with your mods. Also I replaced my stock plastive BOV the other day with a EVO 9 metal one and I picked up two pounds of boost. So mine was defitanly leaking.

Yea the tuner there called the dyno "the heartbreaker". I guess mustang dynos read lower HP numbers than some of the other ones. I wonder how much of a differnce it is.

It depends on the dyno but a typical correction ratio on that dyno would be about 1.15 so 278x1.15=320 on a dynojet which is strong since you do not have cams....you should be happy.

nice #s for a mustang dyno , with later mods just keep going back to the same dyno this way you know the real difference your new mods made, my dyno sheet was similer. wavey hp , tqu and boost curves , you running the stock turbo?

Hmmm....there is something wrong with the boost for sure. A leaking BOV doesn't usually act like that, they leak or don't, I have not seen one fluxuate. That's what your car is doing.

Well at first he thought it just needed a MBC, which did straigten out the wavy boost, but only a little bit. He also thought that maybe the waste gate was leaking, but since he nor I have ever really heard of the waste gates being bad on an evo, we just figured it was the BOV. And yes that is the stock turbo, everything is mostly stock except for the mod that I listed. I guess I didnt realize how much lower the mustange dyno read. Thanks for everyones input so far btw.

Leaking BOV's will leak proportional to the boost, but yours surges (pulses) twice.

Where is your MBC tapped from?

Not all Mustang Dynos read the same, and all previous dynosheets from Vivid have read like a Dynojet. It's highly unlikely this car is putting down 320whp on a Dynojet on 91oct. The high 270s are probably accurate for this car on a Dynojet, which means it's a little underpowered, but 91oct sucks.

The 2 lines that are connected to the MBC both go right to the turbo from what i can see/feel. You think it could be the wastegate thats making it surge?

No, I'm sure one goes to the wastegate, and the other goes to a nipple off the compressor outlet pipe that comes out of the turbo.

Not exactly true. There have been different tuners on that dyno and depending on the tuner the numbers read differently. We can leave it at that...

That IS your final run on the dyno, I pulled it myself. Plus...I went through the others just to check if you had a higher pull and you did not. As far as taking so long to get it to you, they have had a lot of people leave there and I've stepped in to to help out (and run the business). I'll apologize for them up front, but if you have any other questions email me at brett@vividracing.com . Otherwise, Billy will take care of you.
