CEL Light : EGR Insufficent air
it didn't cause boost cut on my car...doesn't affect driveability...just that glowing light....should be right below the throttle body...i believe to the left...next to hot parts...
hey dipsh*t, I don't own an SRT-4 anymore. Why don't you open your eyes and you'd see in my side panel that I drive an Evo now.
Not only do you not know that it's "emissions" but you can't read either.
1) I called him out on not using the search button to find the answer to his original question. I was not the only person to tell him there's many threads on this same subject, and to use the search button. That is how I found how to fix it when I was throwing the same code.
2) He thought that the EGR is for "admissions." Sorry, I found that a little bit funny that someone actually said that.
So when he felt like I was tearing him apart, he reverted to the only thing he thought he had on me -- owning an SRT-4. What he didn't know (and if he could read) is that I now own an Evo.
So he just made himself look just that more stupid.
meh, it has nothing to do with me being a former SRT guy. It has everything to do with this dude getting his panties in a bunch because:

i just got my car back and its pulling an egr code (p0401). the dealer told me they are reaplacing the entire egr solenoid, so i am driving around with the cel.. they said im alright, but what do you all think?

You will be fine. The EGR valve is only for emissions. Many owners of other cars have removed their EGR valves with no ill effects.
I drove around for months with my CEL on because I gave up on figuring out what the problem was. Then I did a search on here and found out what the problem was....and lo and behold the vacuum line kept popping off the EGR valve nipple.
